Robert E. Slawny

Robert E. “Bob” Slawny, Greendale, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 86. Bob would often talk of his time at Marquette University and was very proud of being Marquette alumnus. He greatly enjoyed watching Marquette Basketball and Brewers games. Bob would not hesitate to share the most recent game stats, at the drop of a hat. Among his most cherished memories was attending spring training for the Brewers with his brother Jim and niece Laura. He loved spending time with family and friends, telling his notorious “dad jokes”. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sylvia Slawny, beloved wife of 48 years Shirley, and brother James Slawny. He is survived by son Craig (Anna) Slawny, granddaughter Julia, and sisters-in-law, Joan Slawny, Barbara (Scott) Krey, and Deborah (David) Tatarowicz, as well as many cherished relatives and friends. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
