Robert D. "Bob" Dethloff
Bob, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Bob, or Father Bob (however you knew him) passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 6, 2024, at the age of 82. He is now fishing up in heaven on the Brule River, sipping a brandy old fashioned sweet with cherries and bringing in walleye after walleye. His sense of humor, storytelling ability, wit and generous spirit endeared him to many.
Preceded in Death by his parents Clarence and Frances (nee Wilinski), and infant daughter Jennifer Fran. Beloved Husband of Priscilla "Priss" (nee McElroy) for 56 years. Dad of Robert C. (Julie), Jeffrey J. (April), and Daniel A. Dethloff. Proud Grandpa of Lucas and Nyla. Brother of Nancy (the late James) Krznarich, and is lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. Above all he was devoted to his family, his friends who became family and his many dogs over the years.
He worked at Ladish as a draftsman and prankster but filled many important roles throughout his life and careers. His attention to detail and business savvy was second to none while working as a realtor or finding the proverbial "deal" on antiques at many estate and rummage sales.
As keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral. He didn't want people to be sad, he knew that he had lived life to the fullest. Instead, we will have a summer party on July 27th, 2024, at Muskego County Park -Pavilion #2 S83 W20370 Janesville Dr. Muskego, WI to honor his memory and trade funny stories.
