Rita was a generous person who was giving of herself and her time, in many roles as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, volunteer. If you were not her friend, she extended herself and made friends quickly. After she retired from many years at EcoLab, then at Boston Store, she volunteered for many organizations, including the Polish Center, Xavarian Fathers, St. Ben's meal program, she was a nursing home companion to those who had no family. She was very social over the years, loved to have fun dancing, gambling, playing cards and dominoes. Rita requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations go to NAMI Greater Milwaukee (National Alliance on Mental Illness) . At many times in her life, and especially in the past year of fighting cancer, she exemplified what we know from the bible in 2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. She will be missed by many.
