Rita Marie Honl She passed the torch of life onto her family on May 4, 2022 at age 98. Lovingly survived by her children, Mary (Philip) Salentine, Matt Honl, Chrysa (Wayne) Delikat and Ben (Robin) Honl; grandchildren, Dan (Lidia) Salentine, Mark (Danielle Lemanczyk) Salentine, Carissa (Aaron) Heerhold, Anthony (Toni Staniszewski) Salentine, Shannon (Jay) Vermeulen, Erin (Dustin) Hoeffler, Kathryn (Rick) Knudsen and Leanne (Steve) Ludwig; great-grandchildren Taylor, Hannah, Bryson, Jake, Mason, Logan, Lilly, Landon, Violet, Charlotte, Ellie, Savannah, Marc, Aline, Noah, Harper, Lidia, Nathan, Mauri, Megan, Ryleigh and Austin. Rita is preceded in death by her husband Darl Honl; brothers, Joseph Villeneuve and Romeo "Dude" Villeneuve Jr. She was a prolific artist. There were no tasks she couldn't tackle. She was awarded a four year art scholarship for her talents which she gave up. Her brothers and friends were called to war and she wanted to contribute to the war effort. She went to the ship yards and learned to weld. After WWII she moved to Milwaukee and started to work in the printing business where she met the love of her life. Together, they married and raised four children in Muskego. "The family traditions that she instilled in us will be carried on thru the future generations." A Celebration of Rita's life will take place at the Max Sass Funeral Home - Westwood Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 1-3 PM at the Funeral Home. A brief prayer service will he held at 3 PM. The family welcomes casual attire. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
