Lofy, Richard P. Born November 7, 1926. Found peace surrounded by his family on November 18, 2017 at the age of 91. Richard was a resident of South Milwaukee all of his life. He was the best husband and father, now reunited with the love of his life, Lorraine (nee Wanserski) Lofy who shared 66 wonderful years together. Loving father of Richard (Donna), David (Beth), Keith (Colleen), Joseph K. (Gerri), James (Vicki), Elizabeth (Mitchel) Michalski and Nicolette (Raymond) Timberlake. Also survived by 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann Pajewski and Ruth (Robert) Wisnewski; Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard served in the United States Army during WWII, stationed in the Pacific. He was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans Post #672, serving as Commander, County Commander and being awarded Veteran of the Year. Richard was an usher and volunteer at St. Marys and Divine Mercy for over 60 years. He taught Religious Ed., was on the parish council and was a Boy Scout leader. He retired from Bucyrus Erie as a Purchasing Agent. Richard was a shining example to everyone about how to be a good, kind, gentle person and to encourage others to be the best they can be. We will always love and miss him and we have wonderful memories to cherish forever. The family would like to thank St. Lukes South Shore ICUs doctors and staff for their care and compassion. Visitation at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, on Wednesday, November 22 from 9 - 10:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
