Arend, Richard P. Age 87, was Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday April 8, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Nee Keller). Loving father of Cathy Bonney, Thomas (Beth) Arend, Patricia (Dennis) Miller, Steve (Mary) Arend and Marilyn (Joseph) Moczynski. Proud grandfather of Theresa (Jason) Ramlow, Patty (Jeff) Endres, Paul (Julie) Arend, Michael (Camila) Bonney, Greg Miller, Mark Arend, John Arend, Dan (Heather) Miller, Katie Miller, Julie (Judd) Durant, Andy Arend, Matthew Arend, Nathan Moczynski and Danial Moczynski. Proud great-grandfather to Ethan Endres, Evan Endres, Ella Endres, Abby Arend, Ben Arend, Adelyn Miller and Makenzie Miller. Further survived by James (Dorothy) Arend, Ted Arend, Joanne (Lowell) Mott, Louise Gray, Marge (Bill) Boutelle, Jo-Anne Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Susan (Nee Diderrich) Arend, his wife Ruth, his son Jimmy and his grandson Luke Moczynski. Richard was born in West Allis, WI on August 7, 1926. He was a proud World War II veteran having served in the United States Navy. He was married to Ruth Keller on June 19, 1948 and the two enjoyed 55 years of marriage prior to her passing. Richard retired from the Heat and Frost Insulators, Local 19. He was a longtime resident of Greendale and was a 46 year member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He spent the last 7 years residing at Harbour Village (Concord). Richard was involved with the Dahlia Society and was a former member of the Catholic War Vets. Some of his other passions included fishing and gardening, playing cards, reading and puzzles; however his greatest love was for his family. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be in ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale) on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 10 to 11:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon with full military honors to follow.
