Dr. Richard O. Kunz, DMV, 66, passed away from complications due to Parkinson's Disease on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Muskego Nursing Home in Muskego, Wisconsin. A disease he struggled with for sixteen years. Born December 10, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Oswald and Lorraine (Laukkonen) Kunz. Richard was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1982, with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DMV). He owned and ran the Belvedere Academy Animal Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth Kunz, Ronald Kunz, Sandra (Kunz) Hadfield, wife of Brad, and James Kunz, husband of Lisa. He is also survived by nieces, Laura (Kunz) Olson, wife of David, Jessica Hadfield, fiance of John Slayton, Melissa (Hadfield) Goecks, wife of Alex, Michaella Kunz, Amber Kunz and nephew, Larry Kunz. The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers who were there for Richard. There will be a Celebration of Richard's Life at a later date. Please check back for updates.
