Richard M. Lisiecki

October 23, 1927 — January 31, 2022

Richard M. Lisiecki “Rico” Dick Lisiecki spent his early years watching and playing baseball at Pulaski Park on Milwaukee's South Side. As a youngster, Dick appeared at every Sunday game. He usually was asked to be the ballboy, and chased foul balls while the ballplayer's discussed the game of baseball. Some of the teams he played with were the Collion Meyer Post, Allen Bradley, Kenosha and the Falk Corp from 1951 – 1955. He also played with the Detroit Tigers in their farm system. In 1952 as a member of the Penn Ontario N.Y. Club, he stole 72 bases in 140 games, a league record and was named to the All - Star team. He was named Wisconsin Semi-pro All Star Team in 1950, '58, '59 and Old Time Baseball Milwaukee County Hall of Fame in 1993 (Old Time Ballplayers Association of Wisconsin). Dick was always a champion performer whenever and wherever he played and was an excellent example of a Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Famer. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara J. (nee Majszak) Lisiecki, his parents Frank and Julia (nee Majerowski) Lisiecki and 8 siblings. He is survived by his three loving children, Paul (Linda) Lisiecki, Michael Lisiecki and Lynn (Ronald) Sexton, four grandchildren, Mark (Devon), Robert, Nicholas, and Jessica Lisiecki and 3 great-grandchildren. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II, 1946, 1947 and retired from Allen – Bradley. The family would like to thank Dr. Meenaxi D. Shah, St. Luke's South Shore and Aurora at Home Hospice. Private entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
