Moran, Richard James Richard lived life with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. God gifted Richard with Irish charm and he shared it with everyone who knew him. Richards greatest joys were his wife Beverly and their four daughters. Richard James Moran was unexpectedly taken from us following complications of a chronic condition on Wednesday, April 5, at the age of 78. The son of Raymond and Lucille (Flynn) Moran, Richard was born in Milwaukee on June 7, 1938. Richard attended St. John de Nepomuc parish school and graduated Messmer High School in 1956. Richard began his career as a draftsman for the City of Milwaukee. He soon met the love of his life, Beverly, and they married in 1959. Richard entered the insurance business in 1963 with Grootemaat Co. and later became Vice President and Sales Manager of M&I Insurance Services. Richard joined Robertson Ryan & Associates in 1991 where he became a Vice President and Shareholder, retiring this year. Richard was committed to serving his community in Greenfield, where his family lived for 49 years, and the larger Milwaukee community. He served on the Parish Council for St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and volunteered in numerous roles there. Other boards include the City of Greenfield Board of Appeals and St. Marys Academy. Richard treasured the time he spent with Beverly at their summer home on the Pines Golf Course in Lake Arrowhead, Rome, WI and later at their winter home in The Villages, FL.
