Banach Sr., Richard J. "Dick" Of South Milwaukee. Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the age of 82 after a long battle with Parkinsons. Beloved husband of Darlene (nee Schnell) for 57 years. Loving father of Richard (Lisa) Banach Jr. and Diane (Mary Ehmke) Banach. Brother of Helen (the late Walter) Suminski. Further survived by five grandchildren; Nicholas, Kori and Amanda Banach and Brandon and Lindsey Ward, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Martha and Stanley, and brothers Stanley and Walter. Dick was a former AC Spark Plug employee and retired UPS semi driver. He was a member of Teamsters Local 344 and Moose Lodge 49. He was active in AFS, Lutheran Brotherhood and Divine Mercy Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Divine Mercy Parish or the Parkinsons Association in Dick's memory would be appreciated. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons South Shore Chapel on Thursday, May 8 from 5-7 pm and on Friday from 10 - 11 am. Funeral Service on Friday at 11 am. Private entombment at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Max A.
