Wissmueller, Richard H. Age 85 years, born January 24, 1922 and passed away November 3, 2007. Beloved husband of Mary Anne (nee Ash). Proud father of Mark. Loving grandfather of Adrienne (Leo) Budnick, Erin and Adam (Abby). Survived by other relatives and friends. Dick was a 27 year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department and a 10 year retiree of the First Wisconsin National Bank. He proudly served with the 757th Tank Battalion in North Africa and Italy during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart, the French Croix de Guerre and other medals. He was an Eagle Scout who loved all of God's nature and its wonders. He had a tremendous sense of curiosity and delighted many with his wry sense of humor. Richard was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he served as an usher and greeter for several years at the 7:30AM Mass. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale with the Memorial Funeral Mass at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, consider memorials to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
