Richard Gromacki of Pace, Florida passed away suddenly on February 7, 2025, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Jackie) Gromacki for 52 years.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 3, 1948. He attended Greendale High School and graduated in 1967. After graduation, he enlisted and proudly served in the USAF. In August 1982 Richard re-enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard and served with the 128th Air Refueling Wing. TSGT Gromacki was honorably discharged on January 31, 1999, and officially retired after 22 years of service on February 1, 1999. At the time, he was presented with a Meritorious Service medal as well as other well-earned citation awards.
Richard and Jackie built their first home in Mukwonago, WI. After 22 years on Cernan Court, they relocated to the Florida Panhandle where Jackie continues to reside.
Richard is further survived by his brother Ervin Gromacki Jr (Debra), Sister, Shirley (Gary) Hansen, nieces, nephews, and other family members and wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ervin Sr. and Ethel, Stepmother Sophie Gromacki and brother Eli Hannel Jr (Jean), his in-laws, Joseph and Jeanette Czajkowski and brother-in-law Dennis (Bernadette) Czajkowski.
Richard was a shareholder and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, WI Badger football, reruns of the old television series Combat and Rat Patrol; and feeding the many backyard birds. He will be fondly remembered by all, especially all his great friends on Winona Lane.
In lieu of Flowers memorials in Richard’s name may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
