Richard "Dick" Wilk

March 31, 1928 — April 26, 2020

Wilk, Richard "Dick" Entered heaven to be reunited with the love of his life on April 26, 2020 at the age of 92. Beloved husband and soulmate of the late Jean for 68 yrs. Loving dad of Daniel (Terry), Ken (Barb), and Nancy (the late Daniel) Lappi. Proud grandpa of Amanda (Jake), Andy, Katelyn, Mitchell, and Kenton. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Kate Wilk and sibling Esther Struck. Dick was his happiest when spending time with his family. Dick loved to fish, was very proud of his house on 19th Street, had a life long passion for cars, and enjoyed playing his accordion for all. Most of all, Dick loved Jean, treasured their life together and was his happiest with her by his side. Thank you to Chris Wolf for her exceptional care. Thank you also to the staff at Hickory Park and Ascension Hospice for their care and compassion. Dick was an Army veteran who proudly served in the Korean War. He worked for the City of Milwaukee Municipal Equipment. It is comforting to know that once again, Dick is able to give Jean her good morning kiss. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3 at 10 AM at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Alexander Church, 1568 W. Holt Ave. The church will be open at 9:30 AM for people to begin seating. Niech spoczywa w pokoju (May he rest in peace)
