Richard "Dick" Trissel

Richard “Dick” P. Trissel, 73, of West Allis passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born on November 26, 1948, to the late Lloyd Trissel and Marion (Muschinski) Trissel-Whiting in Milwaukee. He married Margaret (Shallow), the love of his life, on June 18, 1983. Dick is survived by his wife, children Joanna Therkelsen (John), Benjamin (Jenn), Samuel (Jenny), and Noel Flanders (Josh). He was Grandpa Mustache to 8 beautiful grandchildren, Olivia, Aidan, Madeline, Logan, Eloise, Mackenzie, Marlee, and Charles, all whom he adored. He is further survived by his sister Joyce Hartmann (Dick). He was preceded in death by his stepfather Philip Whiting. Dick was an accomplished watchmaker who worked for Shallow Jewelers for more than 50 years. He shared his garden bounty with all his surrounding neighbors and would clean up snow for anyone. Dick was the fixer-upper contact for all who knew him. His full-curl handlebar mustache was legendary. Dick loved his family, and his family adored him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Mother of Perpetual Help Church, 2322 S 106th St., West Allis. A visitation will be held at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL, 4747 S 60th St., Greenfield, from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Monday, January 24, 2022. A devotion will be held at the FUNERAL HOME at 1:45 PM following the visitation. Burial will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a faith-based organization of your choice because Richard loved Jesus.
