Richard "Dick" B. Jatczak

Jatczak, Richard B. "Dick" Passed away August 7 2019 at age 86. Loving husband of Freddy Jatczak for 60 years. Proud father of Julann (Mike Davis), Bill (Cindy), and David (Patty) Jatczak; grandfather of six wonderful grandkids, grand daughter-in-law and four great grands. Further survived by sisters Phillis (Maynard) Garland and Chris (John) Alter; his brother Gene Jatczak; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his SHML senior residence "family". He is preceded in death by his parents Marie and Frank Jatczak; his in-laws Julia and Saturn Sadowski; brothers Frank and Ralph and their wives Gloria and Rosie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and LaVerne Sadowski; and other loved ones. Dick served his country as a corporal in the US Army during the Korean War era. He had a successful engineering career with noted companies including Boeing, Delco Electronics, Allis-Chalmers and GE Medical Systems. With Freddy, they built a house in Greendale that was home for 50 years. As a volunteer Dick shared his talents with the St. Al’s Athletic Association, Good News Singers, AARP Volunteer Tax Assistance, Wisconsin Elfuns (GE Elfun Society) and others. Dick will always be remembered for his quick wit, creative talents and zest for life. He was a man of many hobbies and interests – golf, gardening, carpentry, model trains, and more. He especially enjoyed travelling the world with Freddy and the family. A memorial visitation will be held at ST. ALPHONSUS PARISH (6060 W. Loomis Rd. Greendale, WI) on Saturday August 31, 2019 from 9-10:45 AM with the Memorial Mass to begin at 11 AM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Alphonsus Church (https://www.st-alphonsus.org/), Stars & Stripes Honor Flight (https://www.starsandstripeshonorflight.org/) or a charity of your choice.
