Raymond J Schuenke

Schuenke, Raymond J. Born to eternal life on August 18, 2017 at the age of 95. Loving husband of over 65 years to the late Aurelia. Loving father of Nina (Tom) Nelson, Jeffrey, David (Cristy) Schuenke and Lisa (Jeff) Szalacinski. Proud grandfather of Lexie, Julian, Loren and Olivia. Brother to Edith (the late Jay) Galaska, Robert (Sharon) Schuenke and David (Michael) Schuenke. Brother-in-law of Cynthia (the late Dale) Egide. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Josephine, and his brother Donald (the late Joyce). Further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Raymond served on the USS New Mexico during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. Retired tool and die maker after 41 years of service at Allis Chalmers. Greendale resident and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church member for over 50 years. Special thank you to the caregivers at Franciscan Villa for the compassionate care. Raymond was a gentlemen, compassionate husband, father and grandfather, had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all. Visitation on Monday, August 21, 2017 at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Private interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to St. Alphonsus Church.
