Raymond Eugene Laczniak

Laczniak, Raymond E. ''Hogan'' Born to Eternal Life on July 28th, 2007 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Jeanette (nee Stachowicz). Loving father of Dr. Gene (Monica) Laczniak and Patricia (Steve) Gardner. Proud grandpa of Karleen (Mike) Skowronski, Kurt (Dawn) Klosowski, and Andrew and Stephen Laczniak. Special ''dziadzia'' of Anna and Ben Skowronski and Grayson and Ava Klosowski. Fond brother of Florence (the late Joseph) Janaszek, Norbert (Virginia), Irene (Chet) Stempski and Jerome. Preceded in death by brothers Edwin (Ceil), Sylvester (the late Esther), and sister Eleanor (the late Leo) Kroll. Brother-in-law of Regina (the late Walter) Stachowicz. Survived by nieces, nephews, and caring friends, especially Eddie Pakulski and Richard Leese of Mesa AZ. Ray was a dedicated employee of Nordberg Mfg for over 42 years and a member on Union Local 1173. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Marine Corps in the South pacific during WWII, where he was wounded and recieved the Purple Heart. Ray was a life member of the DAV chapter #1, Charles Fidler VFW Post #9469 and American Legion George Washington Post #180. Visitation will be held AT THE FUNERAL HOME, 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave on Sunday August 5th from 3 PM to 6 PM with a 5:30 PM vigil. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday August 6th at 9:30 AM at the Basilica of St. Josaphat, 2333 S. 6th Street. Interment at St. Adalbert cemetery. A special thanks to Dr. V. K. Rao and the caregivers at St. Francis Hospital for their compassion in Raymond's final weeks.
