Ralph Richard Riemer

October 1, 1937 — March 26, 2024

Ralph R. Riemer, a man of great passion for life and love for his family, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, at the age of 86, in Waterford, WI. Born on October 1, 1937, in Medford, WI, Ralph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose wisdom and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Ralph spent his early years in Medford, where he cultivated a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. He embarked on a career that he deeply loved, becoming a truck driver—a job that allowed him to traverse the country, witnessing its vast beauty firsthand. His work was not just a means to an end but a source of great pride and joy. He met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Riemer (nee Dassow), and together they built a family that would become Ralph's greatest pride. Their loving partnership, over 64 years, was a cornerstone of the family, providing a warm and nurturing environment for their children, Kim, married to Robert LeClaire, and Tami, married to Wayne Miller. Ralph was a pillar of strength and a fountain of advice for his family, always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. The joys of fatherhood were only magnified for Ralph when he became a grandfather to Krystal (Kaoni) Rhodes, Kasandra (Ryan) Church, Emily LeClaire, and Leah (Garrett) Kohel. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. The arrival of his great-grandchildren, Malissa Church, Gavin Teer, Landyn Church, Lucas Becker, Kadeyn Church, and Ariana Rhodes, added even more happiness to his life. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Jr. and Helen Riemer, his brothers Wayne and Sunny Riemer, and his sister Darlene Gebauer. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has now joined them in eternal peace.

Beyond his family, Ralph had a deep connection with nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, often found reveling in the serenity of the great outdoors. He also had a keen eye for collectibles, always on the lookout for unique finds to add to his cherished collection. Those who knew Ralph will remember him as a loving and handy man whose wisdom was as vast as the open road he so loved to travel. His presence was a source of comfort and his guidance a compass for those around him. He approached life with a quiet strength and a heart full of love for his family, a love that will forever be his legacy.

Ralph's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. His memory will live on in the stories shared by his family and the lessons he imparted to his loved ones. The void left by his passing will be felt deeply by those who were fortunate enough to know him, but the warmth of his memory will continue to light the way for his family and friends. As we say goodbye to Ralph R. Riemer, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be treasured forever. His journey may have come to an end, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, dear Ralph, until we meet again.
