Ralph J. Nicholas

Nicholas, Ralph "Murph" Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at age 84, on July 11, 2012. Predeceased by his parents Abraham & Ethel (Brown) Nicholas and siblings Eddie and Ruth. Survived by sister June Dean, children Dan (Phylaine) Nicholas, Julie (Ed) Murphy, Tim (Pat) Nicholas, grandchildren David (Karen) Murphy, Brian (Heidi) Murphy, Alex, Drew, Lindsey, and Michelle Nicholas great-granddaughter, Emma Murphy, special friend Mary Marquardt, and other dear relatives and friends. Murph was the former president and co-owner of the A.E. Nicholas Co., a prominent wholesale jewelry company in Milwaukee. Murph was an avid sports fan, especially supporting all his children and grandchildren's activities. Murph served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honored to travel to Washington D.C. as part of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Wisconsin in May 2011. The family thanks the staff of Linden Grove Waukesha and Vitas Innovative Hospice Care for their loving care of Murph. A memorial gathering will take place at the funeral home on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 5PM until the time of service at 7:30PM.
