Rachel K. Jacobi, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Franklin, WI. She was born in Viroqua, WI, on July 7, 1953, to the late Mervin and Edna (Getter) Davis.
Throughout her life, Rachel was the epitome of a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home. She took great pride in her role and was known for her exceptional baking skills. Her chocolate cookies and ever-present brownies were a testament to her love for making others happy. Rachel also lent her talents to Dolly's Villa Vista, where her hard work and dedication were appreciated by all.
Rachel's passion for the beauty of nature was evident in her meticulous flower gardens, which were often graced by the fluttering wings of hummingbirds. The color blue held a special place in her heart, and her home was lovingly adorned with decorations, including the iconic image of a little red truck hauling a Christmas tree, which became a symbol of her fondness for the holiday season. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. Rachel's legacy is one of kindness, a reminder to cherish the laughter and love that bind us together.
Rachel was the beloved wife of Ted Jacobi, and together they created a life filled with joy and companionship, she was a devoted mother to Cory (Corinna) Gierach and Kristy Gierach, and a cherished stepmother to Ben (Jana) Jacobi and Kevin Jacobi, her grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler, Nathan, Addison, Kendall, Rylee, and Alex, were the lights of her life. Further survived by her sister, Lyla (Milt) Britt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Aunt Marlene held a special place in her heart. Rachel was preceded in death by her siblings Joan (Bill) Fuller, Morris (Sharon) Davis, and Donald Davis, who left a legacy of cherished memories.
