Phyllis A. Klaus

October 26, 1937 — March 2, 2017

Klaus, Phyllis A. (nee Pilarski) Joined her beloved husband Gil after a very brief separation on March 2, 2017 at the age of 79. Loving mom of Craig (Nora) and Cynthia (Jeff) Verhagen. Proud grandma of Andrea, Jenna and Amy Klaus, Alyssa Grisar and Erica and Rachel Verhagen. Caring sister of Virginia (the late Frank) Maitz, Pat (the late Erv) Benzel, the late Dorothy (the late Harold) Millard and Eugene (Linda) Pilarski. Dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth (the late Wayne) Borns. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her loving SHML Senior residence "family". Visitation Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4 until 7 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel. Prayer service Friday at 6:45 pm. Additional visitation Saturday from 10 until 10:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S. 116th St., Franklin). Phyllis's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fredrico Sanchez and his staff and St. Lukes 12S Oncology nurses and staff for all the wonderful care. Phyllis worked in the banking industry for many years. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Open Door Cafe at St. John's Cathedral appreciated. Phyllis was a remarkable woman of faith who always put others needs before her own.
