Peter Becker Jr., born on October 23, 1953, in the scenic landscapes of Austria, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A man of honor and dignity.
Peter's early years in Austria were filled with the love and camaraderie of his family. He was a cherished brother to Helga Becker and Michael (Kathy) Becker, who, along with his adored nieces and nephews, Charlie (Kate Moore) and Jess Becker, will carry the legacy of his kindness and wisdom. His extended family of cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends will forever hold dear the memories of Peter's genuine and kindhearted nature.
In his youth, Peter crossed the Atlantic, bringing with him a spirit of adventure and a resolve to serve his adopted country. He proudly wore the uniform of the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a Marksman and Sharpshooter. His intellectual prowess shone brightly as he completed the Intelligence Analyst Course, a testament to his dedication and acumen.
After his honorable service, Peter transitioned to civilian life with the same commitment and excellence he had displayed in the military. He found his calling in the foundry industry, where he applied his meticulous attention to detail as a quality technician. His colleagues respected him not only for his work ethic but also for his ability to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Peter's personal interests were as rich and varied as the tapestry of his life. He was an avid reader, delving into the pages of history and soaking up knowledge of the past. His love for motorcycles was more than a hobby; it was a passion that spoke to his free spirit and love for the open road. Peter also had a unique fascination with collecting crystals, each piece a reflection of the beauty he saw in the world.
Above all, Peter was a family man at heart. He relished the time spent with his nieces and nephews, imparting wisdom and sharing in their joys and triumphs. His role as the beloved uncle was one he embraced with joy and pride.
Peter will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10 AM with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations to:
