Went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2021 at age 81. Cherished daughter of the late Pedro and late Carmen Avila. Loving mother of Joe (Janet Martin) Ochoa. Proud grandmother of Gina. Sister of the late Felicitas Gomez, Petra Avila, Dionicio (late Katie) Avila, Mario Avila, Alvaro (Alicia) Avila, Juanita (Santos) Salazar, Elena Avila, Santiago (the late Mary) Avila and Elia (late Manuel) Ruiz. She is further survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands Jose G. Ochoa and Joseph A. Gutierrez. Visitation for the family will take place on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 10-11 AM. Burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Paula was born and raised in Crystal City, Texas. She was a dedicated employee and hard worker at Square D for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and taking care of her family. Her cooking was amazing and she even once owned and operated a Mexican Restaurant. She will be loved, remembered and missed by all who knew her.
