Paul G. Schroeder born March 14, 1963, passed away December 3, 2024, from kidney disease. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eileen Schroeder and siblings Carrie, Carol and Robert. He is survived by Dennis (Mary) Schroeder, Christine (David) White, Karen (Tom) Lee, William (Lori) Schroeder, and John (Kristin) Schroeder. Paul was born developmentally disabled and non-verbal. Although he couldn't talk, his family got to know his likes, dislikes; his smiles when happy, his playful side showing his fist at his brothers and his contentment when holding his favorite socks. His large family gave him plenty of love and attention. He went to a workshop at times, learned basic skills and some sign language; but needed day to day care. As each family member got married or moved out the next in line would take over Paul's care, the youngest being John, who stepped right up and gladly took over. His father and Denny played accordion, so he enjoyed listening to polka music. He liked the older TV shows, westerns, Star Trek, baseball, football games and even went to a Packers game with Dave. His favorite thing was eating out. In 1996 Paul and his parents moved to Florida, where Dave and Christine already were. His loving parents took care of him as long as they could, then Dave and Christine were right there to take him into their home. They all enjoyed eating out, visiting friends and relatives, saw country and polka music shows and festivals. He was so happy to go to the airport because it meant someone was coming down for a visit. They traveled to five states on vacations. He attended seven Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses between Wisconsin and Florida. When a Bible verse was mentioned, he would turn the pages in his Bible as if to be following along. We kept in touch with these friends either on Zoom or saw them on vacations. In 2012, after his father and Robert passed away Paul, mother, Dave and Christine moved back to Wisconsin. Paul enjoyed getting reacquainted with family. We want to thank Paul's siblings for always being there for Paul, especially Karen who gave us a much-needed break at times. We are so grateful to Aurora At Home for the wonderful care they gave Paul in hospice. Thank you to all our friends at the Waterford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for their cards, texts, visits and prayers for comfort and healing from the God of all comfort, Jehovah. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) Your love and support touched our hearts and strengthened us.
Thank You
David and Christine White
