Paul J. Cieslak was born in Milwaukee on January 21st , 1941. Son of the belated John and Pearl (nee Dropiewski), brother to Peter belated (Barbara), and belated Tom (Carol). Beloved and loving Husband of Louise (nee Mrozinski) for 60 years. Loving father of Susan, Robert and David (Michael). Further survived by loving brother and sister in-laws, nieces. nephews, cousins and grand pups.
His wife Louise will dearly cherish the 60 plus years of his loving partnership, travel, dancing and memories they shared. Together they raised their family in Muskego and celebrated life-long and cherished friendships with neighbors. Highlights of their travels included China, Poland, and wintering in Lakeland, Florida. As a couple they often won the longest married couples dance at weddings – and enjoyed dancing the polka at cultural events.
Paul Graduated in 1959 from Milwaukee Tech High School as Valedictorian, and excelled at track and field. An avid learner, he continued his education at UW Milwaukee, Bucknell, and Cornell University in Ithaca NY. Paul was a dedicated educator and lifelong employee of Milwaukee Public Schools. In retirement, he loved serving as a School Bus Driver in Muskego for 10 years, further impacting the lives of many students through his career.
Paul found solace in the outdoors, especially at the cabin that he and his wife built on Legend Lake in Keshena. There they planted many family memories and special moments. Paul also enjoyed gardening, landscaping and the pride of a fresh cut lawn.
A lifelong member of the Polish National Catholic Church, Paul met his wife there through the choir and actively sang in the Circle Choir. Paul was proud about his Polish Heritage, supporting the Polish Center of Franklin and being a Polanki member and volunteer. In retirement, Paul also had a long-time membership with Friendship Force, in which he met, hosted, and forged active friendships with people throughout the world.
Paul’s legacy of kindness and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His smile and easy-going demeanor will be dearly missed.
