Bourdo, Paul Frederick Paul Bourdo, age 53, of Big Bend, WI died Wednesday, November 23 following a long time battle with asthma, pulmonary and lung fibrosis, with chronic respiratory failure and alcoholism. He was born in Waukesha, December 10, 1962 to James and Suzanne (nee Hoffer) Bourdo. He earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing-UW, and at the University of Stockholm where he did language studies along with Nordic history. He was a member of Sigma Theta Tau. He married Maria Fernstrom in Big Bend, WI and moved to Sweden with her. He later married his second wife, Mia Ivarson, in Sweden, where he lived and worked until his health and retirement required returning to the U.S. He and his wives traveled extensively around the world including a two month trip to India. Survivors include his former wives Maria (nee Fernstrom) and Mia (nee Ivarsson), one daughter Sanna, parents James and Suzanne, brothers Eric and Andrew (Kelly Soderberg), and nieces Sherri, Danni (Kory Grudzinski), Lindsay and Amanda. He was also part of an extended family of aunts and uncles, the late Fred (Dorothea Wolz), Patricia (Chuck Jagunt), the late Leon (Gerri Duve), the late Owen ( Doris Corell), Jane (Bill Holick), the late Neal (the late Tenie Corell), Alvin (Jeannie Corell), Lois (Harry Novak), the late Karen (the late Joe Molus), Mark (Bonnie Lekfield), Dean (Gail Williams) and the late David (Robin Peterson). He will also be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will take place at the Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel on Sunday, December 18 starting at 4 PM. The Reverend Gary A. Pufahl will officiate a prayer and memorial service at 5 PM
