Paul Anthony Theisen

Paul died on August 15, 2016 at age 53. He grew up in South Milwaukee and graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1982 after performing in many musicals and plays. Paul continued his studies at UWM with majors in English Literature and English as a Second Language (ESL). He was an ESL teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools system. Paul loved playing cello and guitar, singing, reading poetry and science fiction, writing, traveling and enjoying nature. He was preceded in death by his sister Ann and his father Dr. Charles Theisen. Survivors include his daughter Yma Hernandez-Theisen; his mother Carol, siblings Mark, Meggie, Daniel (Liz), Jane Hanson, Mary and Gretchen; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and former wife Dr. Kathy Hernandez. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1:30 PM until the time of service at 2:30 PM. Memorials may be given to Grand Avenue Club, Inc.
