Patrick "Pat" Ellis

November 7, 1948 — June 7, 2024

Patrick "Pat" Ellis, a beloved family man, passed away peacefully June 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 7, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Irv and Helen Ellis, who both preceded him in death.

Pat's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his devoted wife, Sheryl Ellis; his brother, John Ellis (Claire); his children, Michelle Tiberini, Penny Muten, Scott Brewer (Renee), and Josh Ellis (Kelly); and his cherished grandchildren, Zachary Nelson (Ashley), Olivia Pearson (Damian), and Samantha Widenski (Bobby). Pat was also a proud great-grandfather to Ava Brewer and Beau Widenski. He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ellis and by his daughter, Melissa Ellis.

Pat's life was a testament to the power of hard work and dedication. As the owner of Magnum Fitness Systems (in partnership with Larry Nelson), and the founder of Metal Fabracoating, he demonstrated a work ethic that awed all who knew him. His businesses were not just a workplace but extensions of his person, showcasing his ability to build anything he set his mind to. Pat's passion for craftsmanship and innovation left a mark on the fitness industry. Over ten years after his retirement, some of his designs are still produced and used in gyms all over the world.

A man of diverse interests, Pat was also a private pilot. He loved spending time with his flying buddies, searching small regional airports for the cheapest breakfast they could find. Earlier in life, Pat was a talented musician and gave guitar lessons. An animal lover, he loved to spend time with his poodle Matilda. Pat also loved Corvettes and, later in life, proudly realized his lifelong dream to own one.

As we bid farewell to Patrick Ellis, we reflect on a life well-lived—a life filled with love, achievement, and the quiet pride of a man who built a legacy that will endure. His memory will be cherished, and his presence sorely missed by all who had the honor of sharing in his life.
