Patricia Slaaen

Patricia Slaaen (Nee Bergeron) Passed away on Friday June 10th, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dennis Slaaen. Loving mother to Mary (Bill) Abler, Julie Weitkunat, Dorothy (Ken) Reardon, Roberta Slaaen, and Sandra Hackstein. Cherished Grandmother of Tracy, Tom, Holly, Janelle, Teri, Stephanie, Samantha, Ryan, Carley, Courtney and Olivia.Proud Great Grandmother of Sabastian, Tommy, Maia, Annika, Cicily, Ruby, Landon, Ezra, Makena, Anna, Westin and Beckett. Further survived by other loved relatives and friends. Patricia, an only child, was born in Minnesota and then moved to South Milwaukee with her family when she was 10. She attended St John’s Catholic school in South Milwaukee and graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1955. Patricia worked at the George J. Meyer Manufacturing Company in Cudahy for a few years after graduating high school. Patricia married Dennis Slaaen in 1957 and soon after became a full-time homemaker and mother, eventually raising 5 daughters. Patricia and her family moved to Greendale in 1966 and she was very happy there, living in the same house for 50 years. She was an avid gardener, loved to read and enjoyed listening to music of all kinds. Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale) on Friday June 17 from 9:30-10:45AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
