McKillip, Patricia Clairea “Patty” B.A., B.M., M.S.M.A. Born April 28, 1958 in Greenfield, passed on to Eternal Life October 25, 2007. Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Mark, her loving mother Ruth McKillip, her sister Diane Schmidt, niece Colleen Schmidt, nephews Steven and Andrew Schmidt, and cousins Clark, Carol, Andrea Miller and Christa DeBeau. Patricia was born with a beautiful singing voice which she developed to sing the female lead in the Greenfield High School production of “The Music Man” as well as win 40 medals in Wisconsin High School Voice State Competition (a record that still stands). After graduating from Alverno College, she went to New York, where she studied voice at the renowned Julliard School of Music and performed at The Metropolitan Opera as well as other New York opera companies. In New York, she met her future husband Mark and in 1994 decided to return home to Wisconsin, where they had been married on June 16, 1990. Since returning home to Greenfield, Patricia went back to earn two Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and then went on to work on her doctorate at Cardinal Stritch University. Patricia has earned numerous honors including being named twice Woman of the Year by both the American Biographical Institute, and The International Biographical Centre, as well as being listed numerous times in many Who’s Who volumes including Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Woman, and Who’s Who in entertainment among others. Visitation on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at ST. RITA PARISH, (So. 60th and W. Lincoln Ave.) with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
