Patricia A. Dettmann, affectionately known as Patsy, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 17, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on November 16, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patsy lived a full and vibrant life marked by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She was a spirited woman who embraced life with enthusiasm, having a profound passion for horse racing, engaging in puzzles, and dancing to the timeless hits of the 1950s and 1960s. Her creative flair was evident in her love for sewing, a hobby in which she poured her heart and imagination.
Patsy cherished her family and dedicated herself to them throughout her life. She was married for 59 remarkable years to her devoted husband, James. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and joy. Her family includes her son, Michael (Kiran) Dettmann, and her daughter, Teri Dettmann. Patsy took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Brittney (Michael Kryszak) White and Kyle (Hope Holubowicz) Dettmann, and she relished every joyful moment spent with her great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Chloe. Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends whose lives she touched.
In her later years, she recalled fondly the time spent with her late brother and sister-in-law, William (Bernice) Wilinski, who preceded her in death. Their memories were cherished by all who knew them.
Patsy Dettmann will be remembered for her vivacious spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her contributions to those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Patsy's request was to have nothing elaborate and only private family services to be held, final resting place is at Arlington Park Cemetery.
