Banachowski, Otto J. Found peace on Sunday, June 10, 2012 after a courageous battle. Age 79. Dear husband of Joyce (nee Soltis) for almost 51 years. Brother-in-law of Lawrence (Sally) Soltis. Uncle of Jerome (Jenny) Soltis and Gregory (Beth) Soltis. Great-uncle of Olivia, Otto, Jake and Dalton. Further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Otto and Sally (nee Budnik), and sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Leonard Kurek and his nephew Brian Kurek. Otto served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the VA Hospital and spent many years volunteering there through the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing with family, friends and his mother-in-law. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13 from 4-7pm. Vigil Service at 7pm. Funeral Service from the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 14 at 9am with procession to Blessed John Paul II Parish - St. Alexander Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
