Zaniewski, Norma J. (nee Hansen) Freed from these earthly bonds on May 20, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Rosedale, KS on July 8, 1923 to Ada (White) Hansen and Victor Hansen. Lived through the Great Dust Bowl during the Great Depression. Met John A Zaniewski, a Milwaukee native, at a USO dance during WWII and eloped. Retired as a court clerk from Milwaukee County. She is survived by two beloved daughters; Janine (Stan) Gruna of Wauwatosa, and Michelle Zaniewski Singh M.D. (Sukhbir Singh M.D.) of Houston, TX, and two beloved grandchildren, Nate and Elise Gruna. Sister of Billy Gene (Allan) Pringle and the late James (The late Pat) Yoakum Jr. Norma's passion was genealogy. She made many trips to the National Archives and the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is proud to have descended from passengers on the Mayflower and she traces her family tree to Charlemagne's ancestors. Private family services held.
