Norma Anna Kersten

September 21, 1920 — August 14, 2010

Kersten, Norma A. Norma Anna (nee Bau) Kersten went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Norma was born in Milwaukee September 21, 1920. She married Arthur Walter Kersten October 1935 and he preceded her in death March 1978. To their union were born son Orville Arthur(Rev. Linda) Kersten of Cherry Valley IL, daughters Judith Ann(William) Molenda, The Villages FL, Roseann Marie(Rev. Larry) Froemming, Beloit WI and Deborah Ellen(Daniel) Kohls, Lewisville TX. Her pride and joy are her grandchildren Rebecca, Brett, Laura, Grant, Tara, Andrew, Michelle, Tammy, Matthew, Kimberly, David, Daniel, Kersten Dana, and step-grandchildren Peggy, Paul, Peter and Mark. Also mourning her death are thirteen great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, her brother George Bau, his wives Caroline and Ethel, her husband's cousin Jacob Roth, her husband, and her daughter-in-law Dianne Kersten in 1979 and grandson Bradley in 1993. Norma worked for several companies in Milwaukee including Friedlander Knitting Mill during WWII, Meurers Bakery and Goldman's. For several years Norma nursed Arthur following his recurring strokes. Before retiring she was employed by St. Luke's Hospital as a maintenance worker. Norma lived in Lexington Village in Greenfield where she spent the last twelve years surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was also a long time member of Jackson Park Ev. Lutheran Church. Visitation at Jackson Park Ev. Lutheran Church, 4535 W. Oklahoma Ave., on Thursday, August 19 from 10-10:45am. Funeral Service at 11am. Interment at Arlington Park Cemetery. Memorials to the church appreciated.
