Michael Roy Lango

Lango, Michael R. "Big Mike" Age 62 years. Marched into heaven on July 4, 2011. Dearest and loving father of Michael Lango (partner David Borgealt). Preceded in death by his parents Roy and June Lango and Brothers Richard (the late Joan), Dennis (Jean) and Peter. Loving brother of C.Ann Lango, Patricia (the late Llano) Smith and Mary Lango Glazer. Further survived by nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Special friend to Jeff "Doc" Dentice, Glenn Fieber and Bob Nuber. Big Mike was a Vietnam veteran serving from 1967 to 1969. He was a huge supporter of all veterans and was the co-founder of the Christmas for Hospitalized Vets program at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was also a member of the Region 4 UAW Veterans, on the Veterans Committee of the Brewery Workers UAW Local 9, member of Chapter One Vietnam Vets, member Badger Vietnow Chapter, Member Wisconsin POW-MIA National Balloon Launch, member Wisconsin AFL/CIO Veterans Committee and a member of VFW. He also attended the Vietnam Vets Fishing Alumni gathering in Stoddard, WI and Winterfest in New Glarus, WI annually. Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS Greenridge Chapel on Saturday July 9, 2011 from 2 - 6 PM with a prayer service at 5:30 PM. Interment will be Thursday July 14, 2011 10 AM at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
