Michael R. Mcgrogan

McGrogan, Michael R. Age 67, peacefully went home to the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2010 with his wife of 43 years at his side, after fighting an uphill battle for five months at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Kathi) McGrogan (nee Goede). Preceded in death by his parents, James and Anne (nee Helfer) McGrogan and his sister Patricia Howe. Also survived by a sister-in-law Geraldine (Jeff) Smith, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His little dog and buddy, Rocky, also visited him on his last day on earth. Mike worked as an electronics technician, who loved the outdoors and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He served in the US Air Force as a Airman 1st Class and the US Army Reserves as a Sergeant 1st Class. Thank you to the medical and nursing staffs at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee for going above and beyond the call of duty for the care of Michael during his 5 months stay with them; especially the nurses on the 9th floor and Bobbi his ICU nurse who cared for him on his last few days of life. You brought love and comfort to both of us. May God bless all of you. Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 7pm at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. Interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.. Visitation Wednesday from 4pm until 6:45pm at the Funeral Home.
