Michael "Mikey" Charles, a cherished father, partner, brother, and uncle, passed away on May 3, 2024, in Milwaukee, WI, at the age of 43. Born on October 7, 1980, in Cudahy, WI, Mikey's zest for life and his selfless, loving, and passionate nature touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Mikey was a man of many loves, but none shone brighter than his love for his son, Michael "Mac" Charles and his forever love, Veronica. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and he was a source of strength, joy, and laughter for them. Mikey was a dear brother to Barbie, Cindy, Aaron, Rebecca, and Andy, and the fun-loving uncle to Isabella, the late Cynthia, Yesenia, Alex (Maritsa), D’Angelo, Angelica, Miguel, Addie, Shawn, Dominic, and Baby Louie. His presence brought a unique warmth to every family gathering, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Preceded in death by his cherished mother, Barbara, Mikey's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his "second mothers," Mama D and Liz, his many other loved relatives, and a multitude of friends. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
An alumnus with an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Mikey's passion for cooking was evident in the delicious meals he lovingly prepared for his family and friends. His culinary talents were not just a profession but a means of bringing people together, serving as an expression of his generous and hospitable nature.
As an avid sports fan, Mikey's enthusiasm for football, baseball, basketball, and golf was infectious. He also enjoyed playing softball with his Salty Dog family, channeling his competitive spirit and camaraderie into every game. His love for sports was more than just a pastime; it was a way of connecting with others, sharing triumphs, and enduring losses together.
Mikey's life was a testament to the power of love, the joy of sharing, and the beauty of a life lived with passion. His selfless acts of kindness, unwavering support for his loved ones, and his passionate approach to life's endeavors will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his journey.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, WI 53220) on Monday May 13 starting at 3PM until time of service at 5PM. Family requests that you wear your favorite Wisconsin sports team attire.
