Michael "Mike" P. Foley

Michael “Mike” P. Foley, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021, following a long struggle with dementia. Ever loyal to his Irish roots, Mike was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, 1946 to John “Jack” and Rosemary Foley of West Bend, Wisconsin. A 1964 graduate of Nicolet High School, Mike went on to continue his education at Spencerian Business College of Milwaukee. Mike was a long-time employee of MGIC Corp and the City of Milwaukee, where he was quick to share his love of food and his penchant for guiding others with all matters related to retirement and financial planning. Above all else, Mike was a devoted father to his four children, a proud grandfather of his seven grandchildren, and a loving brother to his big sister, Patricia Koeppler, and younger brother, Patrick Foley. He is preceded in death by his twin sister, Kathleen, his older sister, Jacqueline, and his parents, Jack and Rosemary. When not spending time with friends and family or enjoying his famously long walks along the Lake Michigan shoreline, Mike could often be found fishing and hunting, especially in his earlier years. His passion for nature and all things outdoors, along with his rock-solid work ethic and his willingness to provide frank advice are all qualities that his family and friends valued immensely and will miss dearly. Mike is survived by Bridget (Mike) Sandercock of Appleton, WI, Daniel (Kala) Foley of Fremont, WI, Maureen Foley (James Bottoni) of Elm Grove, WI and Brian (Stephanie) Foley of Brookfield, WI, along with his seven grandchildren: Axel, Elizabeth, James, Colin, Conor, Madeline and Katherine. Mike will be dearly missed by all, but his lessons and love will guide and support his family forever. The family will host a Celebration of Life at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel on Thursday, November 4th from 4-6pm with the service to begin at 5:30pm.
