Obituary May Phetvixay, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born January 1st, 1947, in Laos, to Khamphone Phakonekham and Dine Phetvixay (farmer). May was always very independent and determined. She could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She would go to the ends of the Earth for those she held dearest to her heart. Starting at a young age, she would rise before the rooster crows. She walked miles to collect water for her family and prepped the kitchen to make meals for her whole family. In 1984, she did not hesitate to leave her homeland country of Laos, she spent time in refugee camps in Thailand and then Philippines. In the summer of 1987, her dreams finally came true to reach America with her children in order to give them a better life. May spent her days raising and nurturing her family.
