Mary Margaret McCaig

Passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the age of 74. Survived by her dear friend and caregiver Stanley Sandor, her cat Jeremy, grandchildren Travis and Marina Ruff, sisters Marjorie Jansz, Jean Fusco, and brother Laurence McCaig. Further survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Erik Ruff, and siblings Norma O'Brien, Nancy Smith, and John "Jack" McCaig.

Mary was the manager of a pet store in Boston, MA. She was an expert in the care and maintenance of birds and small animals and was responsible for creating one of the most professionally respected bird departments in the region. She was known throughout the country for her knowledge of parrots in particular.
