Mary Lown On Sunday, January 10, 2021, Mary Lown, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 70 at her home in Milwaukee, WI. Mary was born in Cedar Rapids, IA where she grew up with her six siblings. Over the years she worked as an assistant at a few different companies. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Florence and her brother Steve. Mary is survived by her husband Lance; daughters Ryann (Alexander) and Ashley (Michael); grandchildren Victoria, Savannah, Ethan, and Sasha; and her former spouse Randy. She is further survived by her siblings, Robert, Carol, David, Debra, and Vivian; nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Mary was a real social butterfly who loved talking with her family and friends. She liked to read, especially non-fiction. She loved working in her garden and when she was unable, she would happily delegate the work to Lance. She was also an avid fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, enough so that she even asked what happened twice when unforeseen circumstances landed her in the hospital, causing her to miss her favorite show. After retiring, Mary also took up the hobby of crafting and loved to express her personality with bright colors. We will never forget the woman whose two favorite things, besides family and friends, were a four letter word and a certain finger. The family will be holding a private family service. A remembrance celebration will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to one of the following charities that were meaningful to Mary: Wound Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate); Gary Sinise Foundation (www.garysinisefoundation.org/veterans/donate); Fisher House Foundation (www.fisherhouse.org); Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org); or Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (www.fallenpatriots.org).
