Mary A. (Graeve) Korducki was born September 17, 1929 in Earling , Iowa. She was the 13th of 18 children born to Rose (Mueller) and Henry Graeve. After graduating from high school, Mary moved to Milwaukee, WI to attend Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she received her diploma, becoming a registered nurse. She met the love of her life, Dr. Stanley Korducki, as a student nurse, and they fell in love and married in 1952. As an adult, Mary returned to college and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Together, Mary and Stanley were loving parents to 7 children: Larry (Joan), Stan (Kathy), Rick (Conchi), Jane (Tom), Carol (Jerry), Ken (Linda), and Jim. Mary was a devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren: Kelli (Ivor), Dan (Beth), Casey, Laura (Conor), Ricky, Greg, Jeremiah, Amanda, Joe (Serina), Andrew, Nick, Clare (Will), Mary Grace, Sarah, and Jack. Mary was an affectionate great-grandmother to Ruth and Nula. Siblings: Jim (late Mary Ann), Larry (Colleen), Ruth (late Ray). Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Preceded in death by parents Rose and Henry and 14 siblings

Mary’s Catholic faith was the center of her life. She was a living example of Christ in the world. Mary was an active parishioner at the Basilica of St. Josaphat for decades. She, together with Stan, was a member of the Pro-Life Group and served as a Eucharistic minister and lector. Mary and Stan were vibrant members of the Senior Group, and Mary was also an active member of the Christian Women’s Group. Mary was also a faithful and awarded volunteer for Milwaukee Birthright. Mary and Stan had a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and frequently led the rosary in many different settings. Mary had a wide variety of interests. First and foremost was enjoying time with her husband and family. She and Stan loved traveling, and were able to enjoy adventures together around the world. Mary was an active person, and loved bicycling (a passion she passed on to her daughters). One could find Mary and Stan biking around Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront into their 80s! Mary also loved hiking, playing tennis, reading, and again, being with Stan. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Marquette University Basketball and the Green Bay Packers.

Mary was well loved by everyone. Her friends, nieces and nephews, as well as children and grandchildren were all drawn to Mary. A memory cherished by the Korducki extended family was of the annual “Cousins’ Party” hosted every Christmas in their home. In her later years, she made strong new friendships with residents and caregivers, bestowing on them daily blessings, love, and gratitude. “Thank you so much. God love you, I do.”
