Mary Jean Ripp

Mary Jean Ripp (nee Styza) age 87 of Hales Corners died November 14, 2020 at Seasons Hospice. Mary was born on January 22, 1933 in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin where she was a working member of her parents Felix and Inez Styza's family business at Styza's Birchwood lodge. She was swept off her feet at the age of 19 by Donald J. Ripp with whom she married and shared a life with for over 50 years until his death in 2003. Together they brought up 3 children, Mickey (Casey), Susan ( Gordon Heule) and R.J. (Janey). They share many interesting stories of their younger years as their parents worked together building the family business Fair Finance in West Allis, WI. Mary was devoted to her family which includes 8 grandchildren, the Heule's: Jacob (Danishta), Eva (Jan), Celeste (Ian) and the Ripp's: Jess (Caitlin), Bryce (Emily), Luke (AnnFlora), Caleb (Fiancee' Emily) and Caleigh (Thomas). There are 5 Great Grandchildren Isabel, Maxwell, Zoey, Rowan and Atticus Ripp who gave her hours of enjoyment. She is survived by her brother Bryce (Anne) Styza, sisters-in-law Alice (the late Jack) Styza, Betty (the late Chuck) Long, Dolores (Al) Long, Marie (the late Jim) Ripp and many other relatives. Mary was strong willed. She spent her most enjoyable moments in the company of her family who loved her dearly. She shared a special bond with her Grandchildren with whom she was a friend and confidant. A special heartfelt thank you to her caregiver, her angel, who made living at home possible until the last days of her life. The supplemental help from the Rent-a-Daughter staff and her special shopper Nancy were all instrumental in her wellbeing. A private service will be held for the family due to the Covid restrictions at Mary's wishes.
