Mary Jane Hertz
September 8, 1937 — May 3, 2023
Mary Jane Hertz found peace on May 3rd, 2023, at the age of eighty-five. She was the beloved wife of Robert Hertz for nearly sixty-two years.
Mary Jane was the loving mother of three children who she supported, cared for, and raised in Greendale, Wisconsin. A dog lover at heart she owned Cocker Spaniels with her family and enjoyed taking daily walks with them. She was an active member of both the Greendale Women’s Club and Oakwood Women’s Golf Club for many years. Mary Jane was an avid traveler, including cross-country road trips to see the National Parks with her family, her favorite destination being Hawaii, and several European countries with her husband in retirement, such as Spain, Russia, and Ireland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Constance, as well as siblings, Barbara and Father Bob. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hertz; three children, Jean (John) Juds, Michael Hertz, and Phil (Bridgette) Hertz, sibling Sister Connie; as well as her grandchildren: Brandon Juds, Samantha Rebholz-Hertz, Kayla Juds, Allison Hertz, Marissa Hertz, Jason (Callie) Juds, Ashley (Jason) Lent, and bonus great-grandkids.
She will always be loved, remembered, and missed.
A visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus in Greendale, Wisconsin, on May 9th, 2023, from 10 am to 11 am and will be promptly followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 am to celebrate her life and memory.
