She demonstrated her creative abilities early as a drummer in the Pulaski High School Band and Lake Band, a director of plays and musicals, and a creative planner of events. She was a practical joker with a terrific sense of humor. She met the love of her life, Frank, who she cherished for 53 years until his death. They wholehearted lived their marriage vows; overcoming every possible challenge and celebrating every incredible joy. She reinvented herself several times over as her family needed support. She was a stay at home wife and mom, she opened and managed her own hairdressing salon, she worked at Kohl’s department store, and founded an Italian bakery business “Sweet Sisters” with her sister Fran. Upon retirement, she and her husband planted and nurtured beautiful gardens. She lived for her family. Her days and nights were filled preparing for or enjoying family dinners, holidays, celebrations, and visits. She cheered on her kids, grandkids, or great grandkids through all of their accomplishments. She was an exceptional baker and cook, an impeccable home maker, a teacher of values, a strict disciplinarian, a friend to many, and a devout Christian. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the extraordinary medical team at Aurora Medical Center Summit - Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and Aurora At-Home Hospice.
