Mary Ann Bodden

May 3, 1933 — January 1, 2023

Mary Ann Bodden of Milwaukee, age 89, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 1st, 2023.

Mary Ann was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 3rd,1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (nee. Sikora) Belot.

Mary Ann grew up in Milwaukee, WI where she met her loving husband, Donald Bodden at the age of 16 during high school. She graduated from Racine County School of Agriculture in 1951.

They were united in marriage on April 14th,1956 at St. Thomas Aquinas in Waterford, WI. She and Don enjoyed spending time camping and going on vacations with friends and family to places like the Caribbean, Spain, Mexico and around the US. Mary cherished time spent ‘up-north’ but no trip was complete without a burnt marshmallow s’more. And let it be known, no one ever left her house hungry due to her unreasonably large portion sized servings (thank goodness she was a good cook/baker). Her known specialties varied from her German potato salad, chocolate cupcakes and the notorious broken-glass torte. She loved to be outside and spend time soaking up the sun, whether it was in the pool or sitting on the swing. Mary was a devout Catholic woman who prayed often and was an active member of their church. She was an animal lover from an early age on. Mary had a diverse taste in tv interests ranging from Colombo, to Swamp People and don’t forget Say Yes To The Dress. She loved her family (and shopping) more than anything.

Mary Ann will be missed by all who knew her.

Survived by her loving husband Donald of 66 years, three children, Douglas (Terri) Bodden, Dale (Tracy Johnson) Bodden and David (Jennifer) Bodden; grandchildren Jacob (fiancé Brandi Henning) Bodden, Britney (fiancé Ben Graf) Bodden, Sydney (fiancé Jack McCort) Bodden and Alex Bodden.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with services starting at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 12700 W Howard Ave New Berlin, Wisconsin, 53151.
