Marlene M. Wendlick “Oma” January 02, 1938 - December 11, 2021 Maria Magdalena Hahn, her given name, was born in Bitburg, Germany, to Peter and Katherine Hahn. She moved to the United States in 1961 after meeting her late ex-husband at the military airport where she worked in Germany. She was a long-time resident of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she raised her five children: Ken Wendlick (Carrie), Renee Herzog (Doug), Dianna Hudzinski (Dave), Denise Wendlick (Jeff), and Steve Wendlick (Robin). In addition, she is survived by her sister Luzia (Hein), nephew Norbert, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Robert (Maya), Christy (Pete), Rachel, Mindy (Clint), Sarah (Jimmy), Anthony (Briana), Jenny, Jake, D.J. (Elizabeth), Riley, and Hailey; Mackenzie, Makayla, Lukas, Christopher, McKaden, Tyler, Kaiya, Aiden, and Autumn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Katherine and great-grandson Skyler. She passed away peacefully with two of her daughters by her side. She may have been a VERY stubborn woman, but she was the best in so many ways. She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching HSN, Hallmark Christmas movies, and baking. She cooked the best holiday meals, Dutch babies, and chocolate chip cookies. It was always, “Eat more, or take some home with you!” She did not enjoy looking where the darn kids put her “vooden stick,” nor did the kids enjoy running and hiding when she found it! We would like to give a special thanks to Kathryn, Nancy, Kate, Sarika, and the Aurora at Home Hospice team for their warm, kind, and gentle hearts. Also, to her Wolf’s family where she worked until the age of 81. As the rock of the family, she will be forever loved and missed.
