Marlene M. Magno (Nee Cote). Born May 8, 1932 in Jacksonport, WI and passed peacefully on August 30, 2021 at the age of 89. Survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Napoleon Magno. Loving mother of Terry (Christine), Randy (Rita), Pattiann (Larry) Bortman, Danny (Gay), and Kevin (Deb). Cherished grandma of 12 and great-grandma of 14. Dear brother of Jerome (Judy) Cote. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and LaValla Cote and sister Yvonne Nalbert. Further survived by nieces and nephews, other loved relatives, and friends. Marlene grew up in Jacksonport,WI. She graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1950. After graduating, she worked as a secretary at the high school and it was there she met her husband, Napoleon who was hired on as a new teacher. Nap and Marlene were married on July 11, 1953. In 1963, Nap’s teaching career brought them to Milwaukee, they purchased a home where they still reside today. In July of 2021 they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary, showing that their love was a true example of “through sickness and in health, until death do us part”. Special thanks to Anne and Karina with Comfort Keepers and Horizon Home Hospice for the special care and companionship they provided for Marlene. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel on Thursday, September 9 starting at 4PM until time of service at 7PM. Burial will take place at St. Michael Cemetery in Jacksonport, WI.
