Mark John Schlosser, a man of great wisdom, humor, and love, has passed from this mortal realm, leaving behind a legacy that shall be remembered by all who knew him. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of the Sylvia and the late Michael, and brother of Deborah (John) Larson and Denise (Robert) Stinson.
Mark was blessed with a loving wife, Linda (nee Anderson), who stood by his side through all the trials and tribulations of life. Together, they raised two daughters, Jenna (Joshua) Maliszewski and Kelly (Ryan) Blair. Mark's love for his family knew no bounds, and his heart swelled with pride at the sight of his grandchildren, Liam, Kroy, Hailey, and Graham.
Mark pursued his education at the University of Wisconsin, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Soil Science. His passion for the natural world led him to a fulfilling career with the City of Milwaukee Forestry Department. Mark's dedication to his work and his community was evident in his longstanding service.
In his leisure, Mark was an avid sportsman, finding solace in the great outdoors, where he would hunt and fish with great skill and enthusiasm. He was a man of many talents, including an expertise in the arts of Sheepshead and Cribbage, games that he played with great gusto. Mark was also a huge supporter of the Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Badgers.
Mark's love for his grandchildren was a sight to behold, and he took great joy in watching them grow. As a gardener, he nurtured the earth and cultivated beauty in his surroundings, a testament to his connection with nature and his desire to create beauty in the world. He brought light to the lives of those around him and was a beacon of hope and joy during difficult times.
As we bid farewell to Mark John Schlosser, let us not mourn the loss of his presence, but instead celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared. For in the end, it is the memories we create and the love we give that truly define our time on this earth. Mark's legacy of laughter, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him, and his spirit shall continue to inspire us to live lives filled with joy and compassion.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 2 until 5:30 pm with a prayer service at 5:30 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel-Muskego.
