Marion D. Walczak Found peace and comfort on Sunday June 21, 2020 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Robert for 67 years. Devoted mother of Jan (Chuck) Cording and Jill (Rich) Bosko. Loving grandma of Marie (Rich) McCrory, Bobby (Chailey) Cording and John (Ali) Cording. Great grandma of Ava McCrory. Dear sister-in-law of Loretta Salzer. Further survived by long time child hood special friends Alice Klaybor and Barbara Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was a graduate of South Division High School as well as an active member of the South Side Old Timers Club. She was a member of St. Roman’s Catholic Church. She was an accomplished baker, delighting her family and friends with a variety of pastries and baked goods. Her family traveled extensively and she made sure that her daughters received a thorough education of history and locale of the many visited sites. Once the girls were on their own, she found time to visit Europe twice with her dear friend Alice. She was a second mom to all of her daughters’ friends, a shoulder to cry on, and had an all hour’s open kitchen to laugh and share stories. For many years, she was an interested spectator attending her grandsons’ basketball and football games and watching her granddaughter cheer. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and other staff at St. Luke's Hospital and Zilber Family Hospice for the very excellent care she received. A memorial visitation will be held at the MAX A. SASS & SONS Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St. Greenfield, WI) on Monday July 27, 2020 from 10 AM until time of services at 11:30. Private Interment.
